Carefree weekend

It is so nice to have nothing planned on the weekend!
No out-of-town trips, no appointments, etc. This past
weekend was one of those care-free weekends!
Here are some fun, random pictures that captured
our random adventures!
Finding Haylee and Chris asleep when I returned
upstairs from folding laundry in the basement.

Miss Haylee's 1st time in her stroller
being strapped in without her carseat!

Mommy & Haylee returning from
a walk around the neighborhood
on Saturday afternoon while Daddy
cut the grass!

Haylee loves taking walks. She really
is amazed by everything she sees!
(and usually falls asleep after the 1st 10 minutes
of the walk!)

Today after church...Little Miss roly poly!
She has gotten really good at flipping
herself over from back to tummy in the
crib after nap time

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Haylee Turns 5 Months Old!

Today, May 23rd, is Haylee's
5 month old birthday!
She changes daily and has tackled new
adventures in her life from learning to
eat rice cereal (yum), teaching herself how
to roll over from tummy to back and
from back to tummy, touching her toes,
and helping mommy & daddy turn pages
of her nightly bedtime book!
We couldn't be prouder!

A trip to the Dentist & A trip to Chipolte!

Our good friend Holly, who happens to be
our dentist, just bought her own practice!!!
Last Saturday Haylee and I stopped by to
congratulate her and take a tour of the new office!
Afterwards, Holly, Stefanie, Haylee and I all
went to Chipolte for a quick lunch. While were were
eating, the manager came over and gave Haylee
a Chipolte bib and onesie...It was really cute!
Holly took a picture of Haylee, myself and the
Chipolte guy!
Now Haylee really is our lil' burrito!

Thanks Chipolte for hooking Haylee up
with some new gear! Ha!

2 Weekends Ago...

Haylee, Chris and I attended a couples BBQ &
baby shower two weekends ago for our friends
Max & Allison who are expecting baby Avery this July.
The party was full of adults, infants, kids, dogs,
and even a family of bunnies! We had so much fun
and Haylee loved being passed around!

Even Scuito stepped right up to hold her!
She loved it (finally someone her size!) jk Matt!

Justin and Haylee chilling!

Before our BBQ/baby shower, Chris
came with me to my hair appointment
so Haylee could see my stylist Melissa again!
Melissa loves Haylee to pieces and can't
get enough of her cheeks. Daddy & Haylee
did great in the waiting area of the salon while
mommy got her usual trim & style!

My 1st Mother's Day!

I was in love with Haylee the minute I
laid eyes on her! (12-23-08)

Haylee & me on my 1st Mother's Day!

Haylee Elizabeth is the love of my life
(and Christian too), but the love for your child
is a different kind of love than the one for your spouse.
I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful
baby girl who is happy, healthy & fills
my heart with joy every minute I look at her!
I can't believe that she is 4 1/2 months old
already--I have loved every changing
moment that we have experienced so far and look
forward to many more in the future!
Thanks to Haylee and Christian for a
fabulous & unforgettable 1st Mother's Day!
I love my "Mommy Hugs" book, my new
golf shirt, and my fantastic Kitchen Aid
mini food processor.

Yummy!

Mommy- I am trying to swallow!

I like to make messes when trying to eat
rice cereal!  At least I am trying...

Happy after we get our faced wiped off

And back to chewing on my toys!

Chris and I have spent the past 10 days
trying to introduce rice cereal to Haylee
every night after her 6pm bottle.  So far,
she pushes a lot of the cereal out of her mouth,
but does manage to get a few good swallows in.
We are proud of her for trying and know that it
will just take time for her to get her tongue-swallow
reflex (if you can see her thighs--we know she is
not hurting for food and is a healthy baby!)

Yesterday, Haylee decided to roll over from
her tummy to her back for the 1st time.  It is
very sporadic but was so fun to witness.
Daddy had golf after work yesterday and softball
tonight so he still needs to catch a glimpse of her
new trick!

Sunday Fun Pics!

JP is so good with Haylee.  He always wants
to hold her, give her toys and loves to give
her kisses on the head....it is so sweet!

This past weekend we were blessed to have
Christian's parents, sister & our nephew Holden
come visit from Fayetteville, AR in honor of
Christian's 30th birthday. Like always--
we had a fabulous time visiting and getting
the cousins Holden & Haylee together!
Those little kiddos are growing up so fast &
we know they will be the most loving
cousins to each other!

On May 2nd (Christian's actual bday) we
lunched at J. Bucks. Everyone had a great time
with good food and good conversation. Poor Chris
couldn't even eat his meal because he was still
sick from all the partying the night before!

Kris & Leanne
Last Friday a group of us headed to Helen Fitzgerald's
Bar to celebrate Christian's 30th birthday.
It was a fun night especially for Chris who
ended up quite sick from all the "celebrating" if
you know what I mean!
