Butterfly House Weekend

We are blessed to have such great
kid-friendly attractions living in St. Louis.
On Sunday, Haylee, Chris & I took a
trip to the Butterfly house and Carousel
at Faust Park....(sorry no pics from the
carousel ride--the camera battery was dead)
Enjoy the butterfly pics! Haylee was in
amazement and loved watching them fly
around her!
Look at that catepillar mom!

Whoa...look at those butterflies!!

My favorite picture! Staring up in amazement!

And there is water too! What more could a
toddler ask for?!

Shhhh..quiet please

Last night after I picked up Haylee, we headed to the library before dinner time. This was only our 2nd time to the public library (the 1st time was to get our cards & it was about 3 months ago!).

Haylee loves the library but like the toddler she is just wants to run up and down the book aisles and scream. So, that is exactly what happened last night.
After a quick 15 minute trip, we managed to pick out 3 books to check out.
Well I did the picking in the first 5 minutes while spending the other 10 minutes chasing her around saying...."Shhhh please, this is a library, and that means quiet time!"

After Daddy got home and she changed into her PJ's...the 3 of us read 2 of our new book finds. One of the books was "Twinkle, Twinkle little star". Chris and I sang every page and Haylee made us read it 3 times in a row! It melted my heart...

So, STL County Public Library, we shall see you again on August 3rd....because that is the date of our book return!

Florida!

Over the 4th of July holiday, we joined my in-laws & SIL's fam
on a trip to Seagrove Beach, FL. (Right next to a cute
town called Seaside where the Truman Show movie was filmed)
The weather was cloudy for 2 days, but then hot & sunny.
This was Haylee's 1st trip to a beach (plus a 14 hr drive cross country)
and she had a fabulous time! We all did!
Below is just a handful of the MANY pics I took. Enjoy!
