Bath Time Troubles...
A little over a week ago Haylee started screaming and crying when it came to bath time. Before this, she absolutely LOVED the bathtub, but for the past 9 days she tears up when we say the word "bath".
I know this is just a phase for my little 1 1/2 year old, but it is a hard phase since bath time is a necessity for basic cleanliness!
After reading comments from mommy friends of Facebook and reading some other mommy advice blogs online, Friday night we ditched some of her old to toys and replaced them with new soap crayons and a new ocean friends themed suction cup basketball net.
The soap crayons helped a bit on Friday and at least she only cried for part of her bath, but still refused to sit down. Needless to say my bathroom floor has been covered with water because she stands with a death grip on the edge of the tub and when I have to rinse her, half of the water stays in the tub, while the other half ends up on the floor!
Last night was another OK bath experience for Haylee. Again, the minute we pulled into the garage I said "Its time for bath time..yea!" she teared up and tried to re-buckler herself in her carseat. Once we got upstairs I turned on the bathtub faucet and she ran into her room wimpering...
Luckily our cat Tanner was very intersted in checking out the soap crayons so he sat on the toilet seat observing the tub. I used him as a ploy to lure H into the bathroom. Tears and all, I put her in the tub. After 5 minutes of crying, she gave up (still refused to sit down) but started playing with her basketball net and I even witnessed a splash!
Toddlers are funny little people! Hopefully bathtime will become a fun experience again, but until then the coaxing continues!

Thanks Babe
Just a quick post to send a "thank you" to my wonderful husband.
My high anxiety-ness has been full force now that Haylee is truly turning into a toddler!
(although I am trying to become a bit more stress-free, laid back...especially infront of Haylee)
This week Chris really helped out with her and let me take breaks afterwork to see Sex And The City 2 and go out with a co-worker tonight for dinner...not to mention the 3 month Massage Envy pass!
Babe, the "me" time is fabulous! Thanks for being a great husband & father.
(Jamerson family power hug!! Sorry honey I couldn't resist)

Naartjie Kids
Another fun find that I encountered at the mall is a new shop called Naartjie Kids. It is a natural, fresh, active kids clothing store which originated from South Africa.
2 weeks ago they had a great Memorial Weekend sale and I picked up Haylee some fun brown bubble shorts and a white stitched shirt with tree and bird designs. Mom was with me and absolutely loved the clothes (its her outdoorsie, "Life is Good", bicycle girl side of her!).
What is neat about this store (besides the cool clothes and original designs) is that the clothes are pre-washed and pre-shrunk which helps with determining the right size for miss Haylee.
Mommies out there, check it out at www.naartjie.com

Charming Charlie
Last weekend I was at West County Mall
and found this fabulous shop...Charming Charlie.
A few months back my cousin Steph who lives in
VA Beach told me about it since she had one in
her state, but there were no locations in St. Louis.
It is an accessory store organized by COLOR instead
of items. Very fun & cute stuff!
I didn't buy anything last weekend, but hope to
go back and make a purchase soon!
