Rombach's in the Rain!

Today Chris and I decided to take Haylee
to Rombach's and finally get her some
Halloween pumpkins! (I know a little late
considering Halloween is 6 days away)
On our way there, it started raining.
The 1st few pics are of us waiting out the rain
in our car, when it became a light drizzle, we
decided to race around the pumpkin patch
trying to get in and out as quickly as possible....
The weather was about 55 degrees that is why
Haylee is wearing her winter hat in all the pics!
Happy early Halloween!

"Mommy & Daddy, I like this one!"

I thought this sign was funny...
It is posted at the exit

And of course a pumpkin would not
be complete without a tasting by Haylee!

Revelle Wedding

Saturday I had the honor to stand as a bridesmaid
in Stacy & Ben's wedding. It was a gorgeous day in
St. Louis, the Old Cathedral was beautiful and
the Ballpark Hilton was a fantastic reception site.
Congrats Ben & Stacy!
The pretty flowers! Love the colors!

3 Random Things...

Things to blog about that happened over the past week!

1) CHURCH NURSERY: Sunday Oct 11, Chris and I dropped Haylee off at the church nursery for the 1st time so we could go to the traditional 8:30am service. Bonhomme re-did their preschool and nursery which looks fantastic and so cute! I was more nervous that she would have seperation anxiety & cry the whole time. The pager service was down that morning, so they took Christian's cell phone # and encouraged us to keep it on vibrate during service; they would call if anything was wrong. Well, 1/2 way into church service at exactly 9am, Christians cell phone vibrated. My heart skipped a beat...(you all know how high anxiety & nervous I am already!). "False alarm" said Chris. It was just his phone alarm clock going off.....ahhh....When we picked up Haylee after the service, the lady said she ended up being the only babe there and did not cry once. She had a fantastic time playing with all the toys! Here's to many more successful nursery drop-offs!

2) TUMMY BUG: Last Thursday evening Haylee developed a stomach bug/gastritis. She did not have a fever, but the surprises we found in her diaper were disgusting! (sorry to talk about poop, but once you have kids--it is a common topic of discussion!!!) The peds office was not concerned since she was acting normal and was fever-free. Unfortunately viruses take 7-10 days to clear up. We tried a bit of Pedialyte (Haylee hates it!) but 2 days ago her poops are back to normal....yea! It only took 5 days for her tummy bug to clear!

3) PICTURE TIME: On last Sunday Haylee & her cousin JP had their pictures taken. Mom has always wanted a nice pose of her grandchildren and with Halloween coming up, we decided to photograph them in a nice fall outfit plus their Halloween costumes. Haylee is going to be a Ladybug & JP has an awesome Spider Man costume! Lets just say our 1st appt time was scheduled for 1:30pm. When we arrived, the studio was 1 hr behind schedule. By 2:30pm everyone was cranky and we left the studio b/c Haylee was crying after falling off a mini rocking chair....I rebooked the last appt of the day (5pm) and we all went to mom's house, Haylee got a 30 min nap & JP got a snack. At 5pm, we all trucked back to the studio and actually got some cute pictures of the two kiddos! I will try and post some proof pics this weekend!!! Oh, the drama of picture days!

Well, thats about it for now. More updates & pics to come....

Purse Fun!

Last Monday I was off for
Columbus Day (thank you Fed. Gov't!)
so Haylee and I decided to visit Daddy
at work and bring him lunch. We had
a great visit.
Later on that night, Haylee found her
My 1st Purse and was obsessed with
carrying it around and showing us
the mirror and compact...it was too cute!!!

Future Maritz employee??

She looked so big in her jeans & purse

Yummy compact...tasty!

How could we ever say "no" to this sweet face?

Doctors Visits & Bowls!

This past Wednesday, both Haylee & her cousin JP
had doctors appointments. Haylee went in for her
9 month well visit and JP visited the pediatric
"eye doctor".
Haylee weighs 20 lbs exactly & is 28 1/4" long.
That puts her in the 75% for wt & ht....
She also had her hemoglobin checked which is
normal and got the seasonal flu shot....
Overall a very happy & healthy baby!!!
JP went to the eye doctor to check his vision.
Per Nana, the doctor said everything is good
but he will likely need glasses in the 3rd grade.
Nana told us a cute story from JP's office visit.
The eye doctor asked him if he was driving yet
and JP said "No..". Then when the doc asked when
he would be driving, JP quickly replied
"When I am older, in the 1st grade!"

Haylee loves this set of orange bowls at
Nana & Papa's house...maybe we have a
little chef in our future!
