Go Cards!

Yesterday mom watched Haylee while
Chris and I went to the Cardinal's game.
(I got him tickets for Father's Day)
We had a great time with each other as
husband & wife--talking, eating, drinking beer,
laughing, kissing--and no baby to tend to!
(She was in good hands with Nana B!)

A gorgeous day in STL....85 degrees!

A quick drink before the game at Paddy O's!

Real Life

Last Thursday was a crazy late night...
but it made me realize how much I love my family life!
Haylee and I went to watch Daddy play
softball at 7:30pm, got home around 9pm,
then it was bathtime for one little girl,
and as you can see here after bath, Christian
decided to change Haylee's crib sheet before
bedtime! Our little Haylee's head did not hit
the bed until 10:15pm!!!

SMILE family!

I love veggies!

One week ago on Haylee's 6 month birthday
we decided to try vegetables--green beans to be
exact. She loved them! Chris and I think she
loves anything that comes on her spoon!
Since then she has tried rice & oatmeal cereals,
sweet potatoes and applesauce too.
Maybe she will be a veggie lover like her
dietitian mommy!

No leftovers here!

MJ Tragedy

What terrible news--the death of a national music icon.
MJ has been part of my life since I was born &
mom would carry me around as a baby and dance
with me to Thriller (vinyl record of course!).
That is one of the greatest stories
I love to hear my dad tell about my infant-hood!
His music will remain legendary for many
generations to come and I love putting on my greatest
hits CD for Haylee.

6 Months Old Today!

Today is our precious Haylee's 6 month
birthday! We are just amazed at how big she has
grown and how smart she is. 4 weeks ago she
started sitting up unassisted and is a pro at
it. She loves to roll around in her crib and on the
floor. She is great at humming and talking &
recently just found her ears! We can't
wait to see what the next 6 months bring!
Happy Birthday Haylee Bug!

Weekend FUN

Over the past weekend I travelled to Vegas for my good friend Stacy's bachelorette party. Ten girls flew in from all over and partied hard in Nevada! The trip was a blast from In & Out Burger to the Chippendales show to clubs like PURE, VooDoo and The Bank. I think we all felt really old after 3 days of hardcore partying and staying up until 5am! I am still trying to catch up on sleep! Yea....Vegas Baby!

While I was gone, my MIL and FIL (Sue Sue and Paw Paw) came up to visit Christian & Haylee. They had a fabulous time exploring St. Louis in one of the hottest weekends so far of the summer! Haylee loved seeing her Fayetteville grandparents and was very well behaved (so I was told!)...Thank you to Susan & Bennie for all your help with Haylee last weekend and extra-large thanks to my wonderful hubby for watching our daughter while I had a girls weekend!

Early Father's Day for Daddy!

Since I left for Vegas last Thursday thru
last night, Haylee and I wanted to
celebrate Father's Day for Daddy a bit
before the actual holiday.
Haylee loves her Daddy (as you can see by the smiles
in these pictures) and had so much fun helping
Chris read his card and open his gifts.
Haylee got him a gift bag with a variety of dad gifts
and I gave Chris tickets to the Cardinal's game
this coming Sunday June 28th.
Happy 1st Father's Day to the best husband
and daddy out there!!!! XOXOXO

Cupcake Time!

Last Wednesday before I left for Vegas,
JP and Nana came over to make these
special "lawnmower" cupcakes for Uncle Chris,
Paw Paw, Papa B, and JP's daddy.
John Paul had a fabulous time decorating the
cupcakes while Haylee supervised from her
highchair seat! Nana assisted with
dispensing the glue (which was black icing!)
and everyone had a fabulous time.
Happy Father's Day to all the dad's out there!

Seperating the red and brown M&Ms

Adding green coconut for the "grass"

JP's final product! Good job!
(Haylee would have made a big mess if
she could have gotten her hands on those!)

Haylee's Hippo Pool Adventures

This Saturday was finally sunny and we jumped
on the opportunity to try Haylee in her swimsuit &
new pool. At first, she hated the water (it probably
was a bit too cold for her event though we had the water
sitting in the sun for 2 1/2 hours prior) then she sat on the edge
for a few minutes with her feet dangling in the water
and when we put her back in the pool for the 2nd
time she played with her ocean-character
toys and had a blast!
She even let Chris and I
put her baby sunglasses on and was Miss Sassy
after that....
