2 of mommy's favorite things...

It is not often that I blog about "favorite finds"

that I absolutely love using, but I thought I

would give it a whirl!

1.) VAN's natural French Toast Sticks

(they are made with organic ingredients and

Haylee absolutely loves them! I love the

way they smell--so vanilla-ie!)

2.) Haylee loves using straws, but when we

are out at restaurants, very few of them offer

bendable straws and she hasn't quite gotten

the concept of holding her cup down by her

waist and drinking while the straw is vertical.

My solution (thank you parenting magazines!)

is to use travel toothbrush holders, fill them with

bendable straws from home and keep it in my purse!

It works wonders when we are dining out!

Birthdays Galore!

The month of April was filled with birthday

parties for Haylee. First we celebrated Haylee's

babysitters son Alex's 2nd birthday, then we

celebrated with Olivia who turned 1 and finally

Haylee's nephew JP turned 5! Below are some

pictures from the parties!

and at the end we took a train ride!

Next weekend, April 10th, we went

to Olivia's 1st birthday party.

Her mom and dad are great friends of

Chris and myself...

Finally, last Sunday we celebrated with

John Paul at a party hosted by Nana & Papa.

My nephew is the sweetest thing and loved

his "Transformer" themed party....complete

with a pinata too!

Chris had another follow up visit with Dr. B today. He is very pleased with Christian's progress. His tendon looks good and he has been doing well at Physical Therapy. Dr. B gave Chris the go ahead to start working on strength training exercises at PT and really encouraged him to try walking short distances without the airboot.

Dr. B also said in a few more weeks Chris could try to do some light jogging and maybe by the end of summer/early fall he could try to play sports!

Christian is SUPER excited about this news and his positive progress! His voice was so giddy and enthusiastic this morning when he called after leaving the doctors office to report this news!
I know he can't wait to ditch the boot!
