Cousins!

Haylee is blessed to have 2 wonderful boy cousins
in her life. Holden (16 month old) and John Paul
(turns 5 in 2 weeks) are so much fun to be around
and really love playing with Haylee. Below are
some pics of H & H from our Fayetteville, AR
trip last weekend. Chris and I had so much fun
visiting the Jamersons, Murry's and Deweese's....
and little miss really enjoyed time with Holden too! This firetruck walker at Sue Sue's house is
one of the kids favorites. (Haylee actually becomes
a toy diva and refuses to share or take turns with
Holden, so we thought of a solution....have H push her!)

Last Saturday we went over to Aunt LuLu's
house and used the wagon. It was Haylee's
first time and she loved it.

Lounging!

Tonight Nana and John Paul came over to
dye Easter eggs. It was Haylee's first
experience so needless to say the moment
Nana placed the dye cups infront of her
she immediately stuck her hand in the
blue dye! It was so funny but VERY messy!

(Excuse everyone's clothes...we dressed the kids
in whatever junk clothes we could find!)

(Notice the blue hand!)

Haylee determined to pick up the egg like JP

Family Updates!

Just thought I would blog about some Jamerson family news...

Christian:
This past Tuesday Chris saw Dr. B again (his orthopedist) for a 6 week f/u visit. His Achilles looks good and he got the clearance to start Physical Therapy rehab. He went to his first PT appt yesterday and spent 30 minutes with the therapist. Chris really enjoyed PT and is excited to get started on the long haul to walking again! He will do PT 2-3x/week for a month and then seen Dr. B again.

Haylee:
Yesterday little bug had her 15 month well visit check up at the peds office. She weighed in at 22 lbs, 10 oz (50th percentile) and is 30" long (75th percentile). She is still on formula and refuses milk, but Dr. K is not concerned. He said some kids stay on formula till they are 18-24 months old. The actual words spoken were "well Haylee, you are just high maintenance" (that's an understatement! Ha!)
Her speech is not as far as other 15 month olds, but he wanted to make sure she could say 3 words at minimum...which she can! So, Dr. K is not concerned about her speech--kids develop at such different stages. Haylee walks with her left foot pointed inward, but Christian has the same "pigeon foot" issue. Dr. K said normally he sees kids grow out of it, but since Chris has the same issue, Haylee will likely not grow out of it but anything is possible. It is really not an issue because she is walking everywhere without falling and is not in pain. There is no treatment other than good shoes the older she gets.

Me:
I am crazy busy at work and managing life with an injured husband & a toddler! April is bringing Easter, a bachelorette party and lots of birthday parties!

St. Patty's Fun

So this morning, little miss H did not
want her picture taken, but Aunt LuLu
gave her such a cute shirt, I only got
a few "tears" pics.
This past Saturday I hosted a
St. Patty's PJ breakfast for Haylee's
friend Olivia and her mommy Melanie.
It was so much fun and the girls really
enjoyed eating fruit and pancakes.
(Sorry Olivia for Haylee acting like a
toy diva with her stuff!)
Bubbles were at the girls place settings

Green carnations & spearmint discs too!

H liked the pancakes.

Painting Pottery

Yesterday Haylee and I met my friend &
co-worker Niki at Glazed & Confused, a local
paint-your-own pottery place. We thought
Haylee would have fun making a hand & foot
print on tiles...unfortunately the girl hated having
paint brushed on her hand & foot and cried for
10 minutes straight during the whole process.
After she got cleaned up, she had a change of mood
and loved walking around the studio painting
(with a dry brush) all the table & chair legs, eating
baby goldfish in her seat, sucking on a grape lollipop
and playing with the sponge stencils. Thanks
Niki for a fabulous outing! I can't wait to see
how the tiles turn out!

Achilles Update!

Chris went in for another follow up visit with his Ortho doc. today!

Dr. B wants Chris on full crutches for 1 more week and then the following week he can start putting 50% weight on his foot while using the crutches for the other 50%.
He wants to start Physical Therapy in 2 more weeks, trying to rotate and strengthen the tendon.

All in all the incision and tendon looks good which makes Christian and I very happy with the surgery outcomes to date!

Keep hanging in there baby! We love you!!!

H is Bottle-FREE

The Jamerson family is proud to announce
that Haylee has been bottle FREE for the
past 2 weeks! You go girl!!!
If you're a mom who used Dr. Brown's
brand of bottles--you know what a pleasure
it is to get rid of the ten million little
bottle pieces that you have to wash!!
(Although they are fabulous bottles!)
