This past weekend was exhausting for the Jamerson family!
Friday night, Chris and I took Haylee to a Parents As Teachers open house! It was really neat and she had a good time! For those of you with kiddos, I highly recommend joining PAT!
(It is a free service through your school district where you are matched up with a PAT educator, who is a mom who makes housecalls to come check on your child's development and offers great ideas and informations on their different stages of development!)
The PAT open house had a mini book fair, different areas for kids, depending on their age, to play and socialize, and we signed Haylee up for a free vision & hearing screen. Over in the infant/crawlers section Haylee was joined by a 4 month old girl and a 10 month old boy. Haylee was so cute when she just sat on the mat area, shyly observing everyone. She loved playing with a wooden spoon and did not want to crawl anywhere! She was just content observing and visually taking everything and everyone in!!!
On Saturday, Haylee woke up with a low-grade fever and was really sick. She didn't even look like herself with her drowsy eyes and little bags under her eyes from lack of sleep. She was quite fussy which made for an exhausting day for Chris and I. Thanks to Nana for coming over and babysitting for 2 hrs while I went to my hair appt in the Central West End! My good friend Stacy came over and brought me dinner and helped with Haylee which was a blessing!
Sunday started early with Haylee rising a bit before 5am, so we let her sleep in our bed until Church. Daddy went to play fuzz ball while Haylee and I went to church then hopped over to Papa's house for the day to play with Papa and cousin John Paul! It was fun, but exhausing....
Early this morning, Haylee woke up fussing from 2-4am which made for a very early morning for Chris and myself....Hopefully she will feel better today and get back to her good sleep patterns ASAP!
Can't wait to see what this week brings! Glad there is a 3-day weekend in our near future!!!!

8 months old!
I usually take a picture of Haylee with
some object or thing displaying an "8",
but I haven't found anything yet, so....
I thought these pics from her 8th month
birthday this past Sunday, August 23rd,
were cute!
She is such a blessing in our lives &
Chris and I look forward to the adventures
each day brings! We love you Haylee Elizabeth!

Look out world, I can crawl!
Last Friday evening, Haylee just took off
crawling. At 1st it was very mechanical looking,
but now she has really got the moves down!
Chris and I were really excited to watch
her and see the excitement on her face!
Here are a few pics below, but like any
mommy knows it is really hard to capture
your baby crawling on camera!
Luckly we took a little DVD of the action....

Closet Clean Out!
Every 3 months I clean out Haylee's closet,
removing the out-grown clothes and assessing
what outfits I have for the upcoming months.
This time Haylee helped! She loved looking
thru her old clothes even though it made me
really sad to "retire" the smaller outfits knowing

Prayers Needed
Our good friend Mary, who lives in KC, is
23 weeks preggers with identical twin boys!
Although exciting, the boys developed twin-to-twin
syndrome and she had a unique laser procedure
about 10 days ago. The procedure went well, but
unfortunately Baby B's heart rate is
irregular & Mary started leaking fluid.
She was admitted to the hospital
on full bed rest today. Please keep Mary, the twin
boys, her hubby and daughter Ava in your
prayers! Hopefully those boys will stay in mom's

Dramatic Week!
Well, on Tuesday Haylee was just exhausted
from daycare and from 10 min. of jumping in
her jungle jumperoo! She actually fell asleep in
her high chair before we could finish oats...I
had to capture this funny event!
Yesterday morning Haylee woke up in a
great mood (as always!) and spent 15 min
playing in her crib. When Chris went to take
her out and change her diaper--she had
secretly exploded poop everywhere!
We immediately gave her a full bath
since the poop was up her back, in her armpits
and all over her PJs!!!! SO, for 2 full-time
working parents like Chris and I our day was
off to a late start.....
After bath--looking clean (below)
THEN..................
Around 9:10am I get a call from Christian
at work. Haylee had rolled face forward off our bed
onto the floor and was bleeding! Of course I freaked
out like any mommy would (plus if you already know me,
you know what an emotional, high anxiety lady I already am!)
Luckily Haylee landed on a pillow on the floor but had
her pacifier in which cut her lip in 2 places, bruised
her upper gum and and tore the labial flagen!!!
(little skin that connects your upper lip to your
upper gum)
I left work and took her to see the NP at the peds
office. She was fine--no concusion just swollen
& sore...bubble gum flavored Childrens Motrin
has been her friend and once we left the peds office
she was already back to her cheery, giggly self.
I think this incident was harder on Chris & I
than on Haylee....Kids are so tough!
WE learned our lesson...from now on she
stays in the exersaucer, highchair, or on the floor!!!!
You can see how red her cut upper lip
is. Today -it looks a lot better!
Poor baby!

Tonight when I went to get a wet cloth
to wipe off Haylee's dinner face she
somehow found a bit of oats and smeared
it all over her face! Good thing tonight
is bathnight........

Nephew Holden!
I copied these pics from Haylee's
Aunt Lou Lou's blog because they are
too cute not to show off!
Haylee's cousin Holden pulled himself up
from the floor to his activity table all by himself
the other day! I think my SIL Leanne was excited,
but shocked at the same time!
Way to go Holden--what a big boy!

Sigma Kappa Lake Trip
Saturday morning my friend and sorority sister Holly & I drove down to the Lake of the Ozarks for our 2nd Annual Sigma Kappa alumni lake trip. This years attendance was a bit smaller (only 8 of us girls!) but we still had a great time reliving old memories of our college greek life days! Thanks to sister Amy for booking us a huge rental house (the gold blinds were too funny!) and organizing the trip! Sigma Kappa gave me some of my best friends for life and I always look forward to seeing the out-of-town girls, looking at college pics and laughing about our crazy hairstyles and choice of clothes back in the 90's...Love in the Dove! One Heart One Chubby!

Newlyweds: Mr & Mrs Tim and Stefanie Whitney
Last Friday Christian and I went to
Stefanie and Tim's wedding reception.
She is the BFF of one of my good friends, Holly.
Stef looked amazingly gorgeous and Tim was
a handsome groom.
That night was the 1st night in which we
left Haylee with a babysitter
other than Nana. Mel and Nate Bath
graciously watched Haylee and we owe
them a big IOU to watch their daughter Olivia so
they can enjoy date night too! Haylee was a
good baby for them (so we are told!) and
it made me feel at ease that she was in such good hands!
Congratulations to the newlyweds!
