Dramatic Week!

Well, on Tuesday Haylee was just exhausted
from daycare and from 10 min. of jumping in
her jungle jumperoo! She actually fell asleep in
her high chair before we could finish oats...I
had to capture this funny event!

Yesterday morning Haylee woke up in a
great mood (as always!) and spent 15 min
playing in her crib. When Chris went to take
her out and change her diaper--she had
secretly exploded poop everywhere!
We immediately gave her a full bath
since the poop was up her back, in her armpits
and all over her PJs!!!! SO, for 2 full-time
working parents like Chris and I our day was
off to a late start.....

After bath--looking clean (below)

THEN..................
Around 9:10am I get a call from Christian
at work. Haylee had rolled face forward off our bed
onto the floor and was bleeding! Of course I freaked
out like any mommy would (plus if you already know me,
you know what an emotional, high anxiety lady I already am!)
Luckily Haylee landed on a pillow on the floor but had
her pacifier in which cut her lip in 2 places, bruised
her upper gum and and tore the labial flagen!!!
(little skin that connects your upper lip to your
upper gum)
I left work and took her to see the NP at the peds
office. She was fine--no concusion just swollen
& sore...bubble gum flavored Childrens Motrin
has been her friend and once we left the peds office
she was already back to her cheery, giggly self.
I think this incident was harder on Chris & I
than on Haylee....Kids are so tough!
WE learned our lesson...from now on she
stays in the exersaucer, highchair, or on the floor!!!!

You can see how red her cut upper lip
is. Today -it looks a lot better!
Poor baby!

THEN......................
Tonight when I went to get a wet cloth
to wipe off Haylee's dinner face she
somehow found a bit of oats and smeared
it all over her face! Good thing tonight
is bathnight........

All cleaned up!
What a dramatic week of parenting
it has been! Here's to a nice glass
of wine and many more crazy
parenting stories to come!
